This Saturday, sees BRFC Colts host the Balearic Rugby Academy of Mallorca, kick off at 11.00, followed by the senior first XV hosting Aylesbury RFC, kick off 2.00.
The Colts match marks the start of an exciting new collaboration between BRFC and the Spanish centre of excellence for a variety of sports.
The centre has produced international stars across the sporting board, most notably Rafael Nadal.
The visiting Colts are coached by Boris Gutiérrez Lobo.
Of French origin, he has coached the Spanish national side at all levels.
Dave Mills, BRFC head of youth to senior (Y2S) rugby said: “The Y2S squad are looking forward to the challenge of playing a strong regional side and, never ones to miss an opportunity, have already signed up to a reciprocal game at the Beach Rugby Tournament in Majorca in April 2018.”
Beaconsfield seniors now sit second in the league, just behind Buckingham, and look forward to welcoming a strong Aylesbury side, who lie in fourth place.
The run the seniors have been on has been scintillating and they find themselves in an excellent position in the league as they edge closer to the festive period.
With a string of sides fighting for the top, it will be close.
