Maltman’s Gymnasts were competing at the IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools) National Finals at Kent College in Tunbridge Wells recently and produced an excellent display.
This was the biggest IAPS gymnastics competition to date with 30 schools and 430 gymnasts taking part and Maltman’s had an U9, U10 and U11 team entered.
The U9 girls were in the two-piece competition. The team included Annabel Kent, Honor Taylor, Natasha Collar, Anya Nadeem and Kate Mowlds.
They performed a set floor routine and did two vaults of their choice. The U10’s and U11’s did the five-piece competition. This involved set floor, an individual floor routine to music, two set vaults and two vaults of their choice. Then the girls performed a group sequence. In the U10 team we had Lillianne Jervis-Allan, Alessia McCormick, Katerina Van Allen, Mathilde Penny and Elizabeth Kent.
The U11 team were Sophie Schulten, Victoria Daley, Poppy Currill, Arabella Durkin, Libby Button and Eloise Taylor.
