Chalfont St Peter secured an excellent away day victory on Saturday beating Aylesbury 2-0.
George Beattie gave the Saints the lead after a slight deflection on his strike wrong footed Jenkins in the Aylesbury goal. George Osubu could have increased his side’s lead on the stroke of half-time. A needless free kick was conceded on the edge of the box but Osubu’s shot was straight at Jenkins.
After the break, Beattie had a low shot whistle just past the post as CSP continued their afternoon stroll. Ben Stevens appeared then to grab the equaliser but the referee judged the captain had climbed on his man as he headed home.
An off the ball incident involving Davis might have been punished more severely than just the yellow. Play continued unabated and the visitors increased their lead without too much effort. Mahlondo Martin cut in from the right and slipped the ball home for all three points.
