DEFENDING champions Wasps bowed out the Middlesex Sevens after losing both their group matches at Twickenham this afternoon.
The 2006 winners kicked off the day against 2005 winners Gloucester but were on the receiving end of a 19-10 defeat.
It meant they had to beat Worcester in their second group game to remain in the competition, but a 24-17 loss meant they were the first team to be eliminated.
