WANDERERS U16 produced the result of their lives as they beat Manchester United U16 3-2 in a friendly at Bisham Abbey on Tuesday.

Wycombe raced into a 3-0 lead before United hit back with two second half goals.

Dean Wallace put Wycombe ahead with a 25-yard free kick and then an Andrew Osei-Siribor header doubled the Chairboys' advantage.

Right back Anthony Stewart then put the Blues in dreamland when his drive from the edge of the box put them 3-0 up.

But as Wanderers blooded some triallists in the second half United fought back.

The Red Devils cut the deficit with a breakaway goal midway through the half before adding a late second.

U16 boss Richard Dobson said: "It's an excellent result and one that everyone can be very proud of.

"But we mustn't get carried away. If we beat United and then don't produce good apprentices I've not done my job."
