Bucks and ex-HWCC spinner, Uzair Amjaid joined Highgate CC in the very prestigious and highly regarded Middlesex Premier League, and has continued to break records in spectacular fashion.

Clearly unfazed by the challenge that this new level has brought, Amjaid has not only established himself as the main spinner in the club, but with three wickets in his last game, he became the leading spin wicket taker in the league with an amazing tally of 45 wickets in only 16 games.

Not content with this accolade, Amjaid can also add an astonishing 8-37 to his collection, the best figures ever for Highgate in their history.

Whilst representing the Bucks senior side Amjaid has recently played against two international sides, Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

Against Afghanistan, he bowled exceptionally well with a return of ten overs, three maidens and two wickets for only 26 runs.

Continuing in a similar manner at Lords against Hong Kong, his fine form continued and Amjaid clean bowled the top order batsman, and finished with two wickets for 36 off eight overs.

It goes without saying, that Amjaid, not only has an extremely bright future ahead of him, but, he is also certainly one to be feared on the field.
