Tyrrell Hatton helped Team Europe to a memorable victory over Team USA to regain the Ryder Cup in Paris this weekend.
The 26-year-old from Marlow won one point out of a possible three to help his side to a 17.5-10.5 victory over the much-touted US side.
Hatton played a lot better than his results suggest, not droppjng a shot in fourballs alongside partner Paul Casey before losing narrowly to Patrick Reed in a high-quality singles match.
Hatton and Casey lost 1up in the opening session on Friday to star American pairing, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth before beating Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler 3&2 on Saturday morning.
He lost 3&2 to Reed but the Ryder Cup was already secured thanks to Phil Mickelson conceding his match against Team Europe's star man, Francesco Molinari.
The next edition of the biennial event is in 2020 at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin.
