Wanderers skipper Adam El-Abd felt Wycombe's 1-0 victory against Peterborough was possibly their most complete performance of the season so far.

El-Abd was man-of-the-match as the Blues kept at bay the joint highest scorers in the country and the captain was full of praise for the way the team went about their business.

He said: "It was right up there as one of best displays.

"It was against one of the better sides in the league. They aren't near the top by fluke. They are up there because they are a good side and they gave us a very tough game.

"The gaffer and Dobbo gave us the platform to be able to work off and it worked to an absolute tee and thankfully we got the win."

El-Abd also felt a turning point was the superb save Ryan Allsop made from Matt Godden, ten minutes before the Chairboys took the lead.

He added: "I think that was a massive turning point.

"If it goes in you have to chase the game and goals change games and mindsets and the whole complexion of the match.

"Ryan deserves all the plaudits today because that was a game-saving moment and he came up trumps for us."
