On-loan midfielder Bryn Morris admitted his time at Wanderers is the most “enjoyable of his career” as he prepares to face Sunderland this weekend.

Morris has been in sensational form in the heart of the midfield, scoring three goals, including the winner against Peterborough in their last League One encounter and has proved to be a real coup since joining from Shrewsbury.

The 22-year-old said: “I just want to keep progressing for the team.

“I think we are in a good position at the minute and personally I feel really good.

“I think I am playing the best football of my career and it is the most enjoyable time of my career as well.”

Morris returns to his native north-east on Saturday as Wycombe face a daunting task in trying to get a result at the Stadium of Light against title favourites Sunderland.

However, the Hartlepool-born midfielder feels the Blues have nothing to fear from Saturday’s game.

He said: “The pitch is really big and I think that will suit us with the pace we have up top with running in behind.

“The atmosphere should be electric and we have to feed off that.

“These are the games you want to play in and we go there and hope to give a really good account and think about getting the three points and nothing else.

“We go into this game so positively.”
