On-loan Wycombe keeper David Stockdale admitted he is loving his short stint at Adams Park as he marked his debut with a win against Shrewsbury.

Stockdale, on an emergency loan deal from Birmingham, impressed against Shrewsbury and drew admiring words from manager Gareth Ainsworth about his display.

With potentially only one more game in a Wanderers jersey, Stockdale spoke enthusiastically about how he has fitted in already.

He said: "I am really enjoying my time here. I knew a couple of the lads from before. They know I am not a bad egg or anything like that so I got welcomed in and it is really nice to be a part of it again."

With another win under their belts at home, Stockdale felt the side deserved all three points against the Shrews.

He added: "I thought that we controlled the game. We definitely deserved the win but we made it hard for ourselves at the end.

"All due credit, they didn't have a lot that came my way and that is credit to the 10 in front of me.

"Everybody here knows what they are good at and everyone is willing to do their work.

"Even the lads that are more the flair players, who you would expect to do their thing up the pitch, they are tackling back and defending.

"It is a good League One side and if they keep going there is no limit on these guys."
