Wycombe Wanderers have pulled off a huge coup, signing Manchester City whiz-kid Luke Bolton on loan until the end of the season.

Bolton, 19, has joined up with the Chairboys this week ahead of their clash with Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

The City teenager was on the bench for Pep Guardiola's side on Tuesday against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup and has received rave reviews following some electric performances on the right wing.

Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth was understandably delighted at getting the deal across the line.

He said: "I am really pleased to announce we have loaned Luke from Manchester City.

"City are one of the top teams in the country and he is one of top young players in the country.

"He is a wide player and is a fantastic talent. He is super quick and has a great end product.

"He is a humble boy and the character fits and I can't thank Man City enough for getting him here.

"For once, it isn't about money. It is about a fit for the player, which is fantastic for me.

"I am hoping he can show Wycombe we he has got. He is desperate to start league football and he comes into a really good squad.

"Luke has just signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Manchester City and you don't do that unless you are a special player."
