Wycombe Wanderers slipped further into relegation trouble with a 1-0 loss to fellow strugglers Rochdale at Spotland in their crucial League One encounter.
Ian Henderson grabbed the only goal of the game for the home side on 78 minutes, scrambling home after Blues keeper Ryan Allsop pulled off two excellent saves.
Wycombe had the better opportunites throughout the game but a mixture of poor finishing and great goalkeeping from Ryan Lillis kept the visitors at bay.
Alex Samuel came so close to breaking the deadlock early in the second half when he rounded Lillis but his effort was cleared off the line.
Lillis also denied Adebayo Akinfenwa and Scott Kashket on occasions but Rochdale struck that killer blow with Henderson's late winner.
The Chairboys now have a massive game at home to Walsall on Monday as they sit just two points above the drop zone.
