Tyrrell Hatton finished a disappointing 35th place at the British Masters after a dramatic tournament at Hillside Golf Club.
Hatton, 27, had a disappointing finish to the tournament, shooting a one-over-par 73. The former Great Marlow School student was one of the pre-tournament favourites but never really landed a blow.
Sweden's Marcus Kinhult won the event for his first European Tour victory, beating English pair, Matt Wallace and Eddie Pepperell, by one stroke.
Attention now turns to the season's second Major for Hatton, the US PGA Championship at the very demanding Bethpage Black in New York.
Hatton finished inside the top 15 in last year's event at Bellerive so will be hoping to conjure up something similar this week, with the event beginning on Thursday.
