Some spectacular batting helped Bucks to complete a double victory over Oxfordshire in their Unicorns Counties T20 Championship at High Wycombe on Sunday.

Bucks claimed two seven-wicket wins to keep alive their hopes of topping the group.

A brilliant display by Jonathan Burden set up Bucks' first win after they put the visitors in to bat.

The High Wycombe seamer returned the remarkable figures of 3-9 in four overs and landed a direct hit for a run-out to limit Oxon to 138-9 from their 20 overs.

Only Jonny Cater started for the visitors with 72 .

Bucks made light of this below-par target as Conrad Louth (38) and Saif Zaib (33) paved the way for Charlie Macdonell to see them to 139-3 in 17.2 overs with 52 not out in 32 balls.

Oxon chose to bat in the second game and this time scored 162-9, skipper Cater again top-scoring with 68 from just 36 balls. Andy Harris, with 2-23, was the pick of the bowlers with 2-23.

A stunning second -wicket stand of 95 off just 7.2 overs between Louth and Zaib paved the way for victory. Louth struck 70 off 34 balls with four sixes and seven fours.

Macdonell, with an unbeaten 44 in 22 balls, saw Bucks to 164-3 in just 13.4 overs.

Bucks, with three wins in their four matches, continue their T20 campaign against Herefordshire at Colwall on Sunday June 2.
