High Wycombe made it three wins on the spin in the Home Counties Premier League Division 1, beating Buckingham Town in an entertaining affair by 128 runs at London Road.

Winning the toss and batting first on a glorious day in south Bucks, Wycombe racked up an impressive 328 from 49.1 overs.

Conrad Louth and Eliot Callis set about the Buckingham bowling with gusto, smashing their bowlers to all parts on a hot day.

Louth cracked 82 off 69 balls with nine fours and four sixes before being caught off the bowling of Russell White.

Callis (55) hit his runs off just 32 balls before he was caught off the bowling of George Humphries.

There were contributions all the way down the batting line-up as Dan Marles (21), Lloyd Paternott (39) and Adam Dobb (43) all put in good cameos to help Wycombe beyond 300.

However, there were an incredible five run-outs, including that of skipper Marles, as Buckingham never gave up in the field.

The visitors made a decent start to the chase, reaching 77-1 before the excellent Dobb struck to remove opener Leigh Tomlinson for 31.

Dobb capped an impressive all round performance with four wickets as he tore through the middle order.

Tom Hampton (2-25) and Cam Parsons (1-36) kept things tight to keep the pressure on and Connor Haddow took the winning wicket of Humphries to ensure an easy win.

They now face Datchet away on Saturday (11.30am).
