Chesham 1sts travelled to Wokingham on Saturday but came away with a heavy seven wicket defeat.

On a good batting track Chesham won the toss and chose to bat first. Things did not get off to a good start with Josh Drage and Robin Pritchard were back in the pavilion at 20/2.

Then a 90 run partnership between Matt Rance (73) and Andy Goddard (37) then steered the ship.

However, Chesham lost regular wickets losing the next eight wickets for 85 runs.

Only contributions from Jason Rance, Matthew Warner and Matt Yeabsley got Chesham to 203/9 off 50 overs.

Chesham had to start well and took two quick wicket, with one for Warner (1-28) and one for Samiullah Sajd (1-48).

But a brilliant 125-run partnership between Michael Bates (70) and Dan Housego (80*) steered the game away from Chesham.

When the partnership was finally broken by Matt Rance (1-50) Wokingham only required another 60 runs and won the game easily by seven wickets.

In Division 2A, Chesham 2s hosted Tring Park 2s. Chesham 2s won the toss and batted and scored 188/9 off their 50 overs with Chris Royals top scoring with 50.

Tring scored 189/4 off 37.1 overs with Royals (2-43) and Alex Watson (2-52) the pick of the Chesham bowlers. Tring won the game by 6 wickets

In Division 6A, Chesham 3s travelled to Ickenham 3s. Ickenham won the toss and chose to bat scoring 261/8 off 45 overs with Paul Withams (2-54) and Martin Wheeler (2-42) the pick of the Chesham bowlers.

Chesham were then bowled out for 210 in 43.5 with Mo Asuaf scoring 55 and Mark Newsome scoring 45. Chesham lost by 51 runs

In Division 9B, Chesham 4s hosted Ickenham 4s and lost by four wickets . Ickenham won the toss and inserted Chesham and they scored 154/9 with Charlie Haines 44 and David Haines 27 top scoring. Ickenham scored 155/6 in 34.5 overs with Ben Taylor getting 2-13 and Matt Clifford picking up 2-28.
