Bucks bowed out of the Unicorns KO Trophy in the first round, when they lost by 35 runs to Cornwall in a rain-shorted match at Truro on Sunday.
Following a delayed start, Cornwall chose to bat first and made 189-8 from their 40 overs, having been struggling at 91-6 at one stage.
The hosts were indebted to an unbroken ninth-wicket stand of 52 in six overs between Tommy Sturgess (32no) and David Lello (22 no).
Spinners Masoor Khan (1-33) and Stephen Croft (2-35) were the pick of the Bucks attack.
Bucks made a disastrous start to their reply, crashing to 31-5, with not one of their top five batsmen making more than ten.
Dan Marles (46) led the recovery with support from skipper Tom Hampton (33) and George Russell (28), but Bucks were all out for 154 with 5.3 overs of their allocation left unused.
They will be hoping for better luck this Sunday when they play Herefordshire in their next T20 double-header at Colwall.
Bucks, having won three of their four matches so far, stand top of the Group 2 table.
Winning twice against Herefordshire would give them a good chance of reaching the semi-finals.
Bucks squad to face Herefordshire: T Hampton (High Wycombe) capt, C Louth (High Wycombe), R Pritchard (Chesham), M Khan (Clevedon), S Zaib (Slough), C Macdonell (Tring Park), G Park (Wickersley Old Village), S Gumbs, M Payne (Tring Park), G Russell, C Haddow, J Burden (High Wycombe), A Harris (Tring Park).
