Haule also had spells playing abroad in America, Iceland and New Zealand.

manager Mark Eaton said: “We’re incredibly pleased to get Davis to the club as we saw in a short spell last season what a valuable contribution he will make. You can’t buy his kind of experience both on and off the field.

“He’s also a great person to be around and I feel he will be a real positive influence in helping us achieve our goals next season.”

On his appointment, Haule commented: “I’m extremely happy to be a part of a team with the goals and aspirations which are aligned with my character.

“Last year I had the pleasure of working alongside Mark and the team for a few weeks and I enjoyed every minute - a good bunch of lads.

“I’m looking forward to next season and the path we’re all now on.”
