THE Flackwell Heath Pro Am was a huge success as the atmosphere was great and all playing members, visitors, professionals and PGA staff appeared to really enjoy themselves on Wednesday.
Despite the difficult weather conditions over the last 12 months there was nothing but praise for the condition of the golf course.
All staff involved pulled out out of the bag to make it once again one of the most Pro Am events on the Berks, Bucks & Oxon circuit.
The winning professional was Zak Morgan from Rochester and Cobham with a very impressive five under-par 65.
Morgan was followed by Fraser McDonald and Oliver Tite who both scored 68 (-3) for joint-second place.
Five professionals shot under par on the day despite the course, with its relatively short rough at present, putting up a good defence.
Team professional David Anderson, with Sudhir Patel, Evan Kuguru and Mark Hitchen won the team event with -18.
The runners-up were Lewis Atkinson (pro), Graeme Waugh, Andy Ferguson and Rob Beck (-15), with Morgan (pro), Andrew Butler, Jim Harrington and Ron Calcott (-15) in third place.
