CHESHAM have retained the Jubilee Cup despite a six-shot home defeat against Princess Risborough on Sunday - the cup winners carried 11 shots into the match.
The hosts were beaten 99-93 and their top rink included Delphine Brown, Kingsley Juett and Chris Fillery.
Cheshamlost 56-55 at home to Desborough on Sunday but a top rink win of 23-10 helped minimise the defeat. The rink included Peter Threadgold, Helen Fillery and groundsman Tony Strudwick, who also prepared a superb green to play on.
The vets (over 65s) beat Kings Langley at home on Tuesday - victorious on both rinks, 30-13 and 14-13. The top rink was Chris Fillery, Geoff Denham and skip Trevor Bateman.
Chesham'scurrent men's champion, Trevor Bateman, narrowly lost in the third round of the national Champion of Champions competition, losing 21-20 to Colin Perrott from Aylesbury.
The Champion of Champions is a prestigious competition for the top players from each club that have won the singles competition at their home club, before going into county and then national rounds.
