FLACKWELL Heath recorded their first win in the new Hellenic Premier Division season after a 2-0 victory against Holmer Green in the all-Bucks derby match at Wilks Park on Tuesday, writes Rob Stevens.

The Heathens suffered defeat at home to Lydney Town on the opening day of the campaign, conceding a goal in the final minute last weekend, but Marcus Richardson and his team now have their first points on the board.

Jack Taylor scored both goals for Flackwell in a man-of-the-match performance in central midfield, full of pinpoint passing and crunching tackles.

The Heathens turn their attention to the FA Cup and an extra preliminary round tie at Oxhey Jets from the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division this Saturday (3pm).

Holmer Green are also in FA Cup action this Saturday when making the trip to league rivals Shrivenham in the extra preliminary round (3pm).

Burnham were in action on Monday night when they were beaten 1-0 at Reading City with Josh Blackwood scoring the only goal in the game at Rivermoor.

The Blues turn their attention to the FA Cup and a visit to The Gore from Tring Athletic in the extra preliminary round this Saturday (3pm).

Penn & Tylers Green got the new season in the Hellenic League under way with a 2-1 defeat at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook in round one of the Challenge Cup.

Penn get the new campaign in Division One East started with a visit to Holloways Park from Kidlington Development this Saturday (3pm).

Marlow United have begun their league season with a 3-1 defeat at Kidlington Development on Tuesday, JC Etienne with the consolation goal for United.

Risborough Rangers will bid to make it back-to-back wins at the start of the season when travelling to Milton United this Saturday (3pm).

The new Evo-Stick League Premier South season begins this Saturday with Chesham United hosting Salisbury and Beaconsfield Town making the journey to Dorchester Town (both 3pm).

The curtain also comes up in the Bostik League South Central on Saturday with Marlow at home to Barking and Chalfont St Peter travelling to Ashford Town (Middx).
