The home side restored their advantage from the penalty spot after the break as Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway picked himself up to score.

Chalfont went further ahead when teenage substitute Zayd Ait-Fahim reacted first to poke home a loose ball for his first-ever senior goal.

A misplaced tackle from conceded another penalty in time added on and Clayton converted again, but it was not enough and the home team secured all three points.

The win means Chalfont St Peter remain in fourth position in the league table before a trip to Ware on September 14.

The Saints turn their attention to the Velocity Trophy and Group Five match at home to Hanwell tonight (Tuesday, 7.45pm).
