RISBOROUGH Rangers maintained their unbeaten start to the new season in Hellenic Division One East after a 1-1 draw at Bucks rivals Marlow United on Tuesday, writes Rob Stevens.
Rangers took a narrow lead into the break at the Alfred Davis Memorial Ground with a goal from Brian Haule, before Chris Hurst equalised for Marlow from the penalty spot in the second half.
Risborough return to Windsors for the visit of Didcot Town Development this Saturday whilst Marlow United head to Thame Rangers (both 3pm).
Risborough Rangers earlier made progress in the FA Vase after a 6-0 win against Premier Division opposition Easington Sports at Windsors on Saturday.
Goals in the first half from Kyle Faulkner, Haule and Josh Urquart gave Rangers a clear lead heading into the break in the first qualifying round tie.
Faulkner scored twice more in the second half to complete his hat-trick with Haule doubling his own tally for the match.
Penn & Tylers Green returned to league action with a 3-1 win at Didcot Town Development on Tuesday and make the trip to Woodley United this Saturday (3pm).
