Wycombe defender Jamie Mascoll thanked his team-mates for the way they have welcomed him into the club after the Blues' 1-0 win over Portsmouth.
Mascoll made just his second ever league appearance and he replaced Joe Jacobson on the stroke of half-time after the Welshman had to go off with an injury.
The former Charlton man played a big part in the penalty decision from which Adebayo Akinfenwa scored late on, his dangerous ball in being handballed by a Pompey defender.
Mascoll said: "From day one, they have helped me settle in and I am sure it shows on the pitch that is what is happening."
The game suffered with a lot of stoppages with two red cards and a whole host of injuries but the full-back said they weren't fazed by the disjointed nature of the game.
He added: "There were a lot of stoppages with seven minutes at the end and it does slow the game down.
"We set up and we are always ready. If it is a quick game, we embrace it and if the game is slowed down, we embrace it too and are ready for that as well."
