THE Marlow ladies first team played their first-ever match in the South Clubs Division One when hosting Tulse Hill & Dulwich, who have been in the league for some time, on Saturday.
The game started well for the hosts and they were soon rewarded for their pressure with a goal from player-coach Jane Smith.
Despite further pressure from Marlow, the visitors brought the match back level with a breakaway goal towards the end of the first half.
The second period saw a lot of pressure from the home team but the Tulse Hill keeper kept the ball out.
The match ended 1-1 and Marlow secured their first-ever point in the new league.
