THE two adult teams at Clan Netball Club have got the new season under way in the South Regional League.

The club was delighted to start with home fixtures and were pleased to welcome Sussex Netball Club to High Wycombe.

The team in Division Two started against Sussex Thunder in a competitive match with both sides cementing new combinations on the court.

Clan began to dominate during the second half of the game and pulled away to win 64-46. The player-of-the-match was Chloe Mordue.

Clan had a number of younger players making their debut in the match against Sussex Lightening in Division Three.

The team started well but were five goals behind at half-time.

In the third quarter, the home side had all the play and were putting immense pressure on the Lightning defence. The match completely swung and Clan were in the ascendancy, winning the third period 12-6.

It was game on in the final quarter with both teams going goal-for-goal. Clan continued to put the pressure on but Sussex held on for a 31-31 draw.

It was an exciting match with the young Clan players excelling well on the court, including player-of-the-match Aly Cook.
