FLACKWELL Heath are out of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup this season after a 3-0 defeat against Didcot Town on Tuesday night, writes Rob Stevens.

Didcot from the Southern League Division One Central took the lead in the first round tie at Wilks Park when a poor clearance from Mohamadou Ceesay gifted the ball to the visitors and George Reid scuffed a shot into the bottom corner in the 36th minute.

The higher-league team doubled their advantage when captain Luke Carnell headed in from a corner kick after 74 minutes.

Didcot added a third goal just three minutes later as a lovely move was finished off smartly by Jack Dark, lifting the ball over the advancing Aaron Watkins.

Flackwell were gifted the chance to pull a goal back with the award of a penalty kick in the first minute of time added on, but Khalid Simmo missed his spot-kick.

The Heathens climbed to 11th position in the Hellenic League Premier Division following their 3-2 win at Tuffley Rovers on Saturday.

Goals from Ceesay and James Burrell gave the visitors a clear lead heading into the break at Glevum Park. Simmo added a third 10 minutes into the second half before Tuffley pulled two goals back late on through Kieran Alder and Adam Bloomfield.

Holmer Green remain second from bottom in the Premier Division after a 6-0 defeat at league leaders Westfields on Saturday.

Goals from Craig Jones, Keanu Cooper and Richard Greaves gave Westfields a clear advantage going into half-time at Allpay Park. The home team continued the route in the second half thanks to a Paul Hurrell strike, plus two more from Greaves to complete his hat-trick.
