CHESHAM United returned to form in the BetVictor Southern Premier South after a 3-0 win against Beaconsfield Town on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.
The Generals suffered defeat in their previous league match at Salisbury but were too good for Beaconsfield in the all-Bucks derby match at The Meadow.
The home team opened the scoring in the first half with a deflected shot from Dave Pearce.
Chesham doubled the advantage after half-time when Pearce crossed the ball into the box for Bradley Clayton to scoop in.
The points were secured as a clinical move saw the ball worked from left to right and Clayton finished past keeper Myles Bowman.
The win means The Generals remain in third position in the league table and still two points behind leaders Truro City ahead of a mouth-watering trip to the table-toppers this Saturday.
Beaconsfield remain second from bottom but, with Yate Town beating Taunton Town, now four points from the relegation/promotion play-off spot. The Rams make the journey to Metropolitan Police on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Chalfont St Peter have suffered defeat in their last three home matches in the BetVictor South Central Division following a 2-1 loss to South Park.
A goal from Kiye Martin gave the visitors to Mill Meadow the lead in the second half. The Saints equalised through Juwon Akintunde but South Park secured the win when Ainh-War Tran-West struck in the 79th minute.
The defeat means Chalfont drop two places to 13th position in the league table ahead of a trip to play-off chasing Barking this Saturday (3pm).
Marlow failed in their attempts to complete a hat-trick of league wins after conceding a two-goal lead in the 3-2 defeat at Hanwell Town.
A Kameron English penalty kick and a goal from Devontae Romeo gave the Blues a clear lead inside the first 15 minutes at Reynolds Field.
Hanwell were given a lifeline when Harry Tamplin found the back of the net before the break, and goals from Harry Rush and Rob Laney completed the fightback for the league leaders in the second half.
Marlow remain in 14th position in the table after the loss and travel to South Park on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
