CHALVEY Sports saw their six-match unbeaten run in all competitions come to an end after a 3-2 defeat against AFC Aldermaston on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The Stabmonks had not tasted defeat since the loss at Risborough Rangers seven weeks ago but the end of an impressive run sees them slip to sixth position in the Hellenic Division One East.

A goal from Chris George gave Berkshire rivals Aldermaston a lead inside five minutes at Arbour Park but Tom Williams equalised for the home side four minutes later and the scores remained level heading into half-time.

Chalvey got their noses in front through Matty Edwards in the second half but the visitors were level two minutes later via Jamel Forde-Small before Gary Smith secured the points when striking with a little over 10 minutes to play.

The Stabmonks make the trip across Berkshire to third-from-bottom Woodley United on Saturday (3pm).

Holyport returned to winning form in the league following their high-scoring 8-3 victory against Kidlington Development.

Port had not won in three matches but a return to form sees them leapfrog rivals Chalvey into fifth position in the table.

Slough Observer:

A goal from Callum Green gave Kidlington the lead inside two minutes at Summerleaze Village but Holyport were ahead at the break with goals from Alan Akerman, Fabian Driffill, Josh Masters and Steve Deverall.

Driffill scored twice more to complete his hat-trick and secure the points in the second half with both Deverall and Andy Forisky also on target for the home team, before Green bagged a consolation brace inside the final two minutes for a treble in the match.

Holyport remain at Summerleaze Village for the visit of Long Crendon this Saturday (3pm).

Langley did not have a fixture to fulfil last weekend but travel to Holloways Park to take on Penn & Tylers Green on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Windsor got back to winning ways in the Premier Division after a high-scoring 7-2 victory over Brackley Town Saints at Stag Meadow.

Two goals from William Montague gave Windsor a clear lead heading into the break, and the hosts bagged the points when Adam McNamara netted a brace inside the first 15 minutes of the second half as well as a strike from Tomas Kalinauskas.

An unfortunate Nojus Trinovas own goal gave Brackley some consolation before Montague scored again to complete his hat-trick and Kalinauskas added his second of the game. The visitors pulled one back through Samuel Hartley inside the final two minutes.

Slough Observer:

The win means Windsor stand in 12th position in the table and a single point behind the top 10 ahead of a visit to Stag Meadow from Reading City on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Burnham did not have a fixture to fulfil last weekend but return with a trip to Easington Sports on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
