FC BEACONSFIELD have reached the semi-final in the Maidenhead Norfolkian Senior Cup after a 4-3 win at Old Windsor on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The two leading sides in the East Berkshire League met at the Old Windsor Recreation Ground for the chance to take on Premier Division rivals Iver Heath in the semi-final in two weeks.

It was the first meeting between the two teams this season and the tie started well for Old Windsor with a goal from Harry Farnan. Beaconsfield however then stormed into a 4-1 lead before Farnan scored twice more to complete his hat-trick.

Singh Sabha qualified for the semi-final in the Slough Town Challenge Cup following their 4-1 victory at Iver Heath. Sukh Hunjan bagged a brace with Harinder Hunjan also amongst the goal scorers.

It is a second semi-final for Singh Sabha this season as the team is in the last four of the High Wycombe Challenge Cup where they will meet league rivals Burnham Village on Saturday 15th February.

KS Gryf are out of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup after a 2-1 defeat against Newport Pagnell Town Reserves in the quarter final.

Hype Train exited the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup following their 3-1 loss at Hanslope Reserves in the quarter final. Leon Mannion was on target for the East Berkshire League side in Milton Keynes.

Burnham Village were leading 4-2 in their quarter final against Tattenhoe when the game was abandoned after around 70 minutes at the George Pticher Memorial Ground. It has been alleged that a spectator was involved in a confrontation with the opposition.

The incident is now being investigated by the disciplinary department at the Berks & Bucks Football Association.

Stoke Poges Saints and South Bucks United became the first teams to reach the quarter final in the Presidents Cup this season after wins against Stoke Poges Saints Reserves and Slough Heating Laurencians A respectively.

The Saints first team beat the Reserves 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Sam Manton plus a further goal from Conor Tierney.

South Bucks progressed following a 5-2 victory over The Laurencians A side.

St Peters Iver have set up a meeting with the Old Windsor first team in the last-16 of the League Cup after a 6-0 win against the Reserves at the Richings Park Sports Club.

Hounslow Wanderers moved up one place to fifth position in Division One after a 3-0 win at bottom side Chalvey Sports A.

Townmead are now 10 points clear at the top of the table in Division Two following their 3-1 victory at second-bottom Sandhurst Town Under 23s. The win included a superb strike from Gary Williams and a man-of-the-match performance from Ishmael Adams.

Townmead have lost just once in the league so far this season and scored an incredible 50 goals in 13 matches in Division Two although Old Windsor Reserves, who lead the chasing pack, are still unbeaten and have five games in hand.

Barton Rovers moved up one place to eighth position after a 2-1 home win against bottom side Phoenix Old Boys A.
