Wycombe skipper Matt Bloomfield believes the squad have got an ‘underdog mentality’ as the club fight to get into the Championship.
The Chairboys sit in the automatic promotion places in League One as they try and get into the second tier of English football for the very first time.
And with the guidance of Gareth Ainsworth, Bloomfield believes that the mentality is there to take the club forward.
Speaking after the Bristol Rovers game on Saturday, Bloomfield said: “There has to be an underdog mentality

“We’re a club with four or five thousand fans at our home games and our budget is not that of Sunderland, Ipswich, Portsmouth, Doncaster and Rotherham.
“Those are the big clubs of our league that are expected to get promoted.
"So there has to be an underdog mentality because we are the underdogs.
“Everyone in pre-season told us we were going to get relegated and with the budget and club size, that is possibly what should have happened but we had an inner belief and an inner confidence.
“There’s no pressure or expectation on us to get promoted this season, that’s on all the big clubs around us that I said about.
“We are just trying to enjoy ourselves, for some of us this opportunity may never come around again being top of League One, and I’m certainly not taking it for granted and I know the other boys are not either.
“We are trying to grasp it with both hands and we are enjoying the ride whilst we're on it and long may that continue.”
