THE Chiltern Gymnastics Club has launched a fundraising project to help a dozen members to compete at the Gymnastics World Championships in Orlando in June, writes Rob Stevens.
The Beaconsfield-based club is an independent founding member of UK Gymnastics and works tirelessly to advance the skills and personal development of young gymnasts in the South East.
It is also a member of the International Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs (IAIGC) and as such can participate at UK, European and international levels.
The club is proud to announce that 12 gymnasts have achieved the requisite number of points to qualify for the IAIGC Gymnastics World Championships in Orlando in June.
The coaching team is raising money for this once-in-a-lifetime event for the young athletes to ensure that all their determination, hard work and commitment is recognised as well as to demonstrate their skills on the international stage.
The funds – in addition to personal and club funding – will go towards their transport and competition entry costs.
