Ignacio Pussetto could leave Watford less than a year after arriving, with Serie A side Crotone interested in taking the winger on loan.

Pussetto arrived at Vicarage Road in January and made an instant impression, clearing off the line to earn a point against Tottenham with pretty much his first kick in a Watford shirt.

However, he went on to play for a total of just 67 minutes from seven substitute performances as the Hornets were relegated from the Premier League.

He has made only one start since his arrival, in last week's Carabao Cup defeat away at Newport County, and looks likely to leave before the transfer window closes on Monday evening.

The Watford Observer understands the player's representatives have agreed to a loan move to the newly-promoted Italian side, but the Hornets would prefer the player make a permanent switch.

However, should no other options be available a temporary move could prove to be the most suitable option for all parties.
