Gareth Ainsworth has praised winger Daryl Horgan following his return from international duty.

The Irish winger became the first Wycombe player to face England in an international match, following his outing against the Three Lions at Wembley Stadium on November 12, which Ireland lost 3-0.

The 28-year-old played 60 minutes in the friendly at the home of English football.

“I can’t tell him enough how proud Wycombe are of him.

“The first person to do that against England as a Wycombe player and what a character he is as well.

“And to play 90 minutes [against Brentford] just shows his phenomenal energy levels.”
