A programme to help the lonely and vulnerable this Christmas has been set up by Wycombe Wanderers.

The Wycombe Wanderers Sports and Education Trust have created a pen pal initiative, where Chairboys supporters are being encouraged to write letters to those who are feeling isolated this festive season.

A spokesperson from the WWSET said: “It doesn’t need to be much.

“Just a little bit about yourself (and your love for the Chairboys) and perhaps a new friendship can be made over the holiday period.

“We will ensure that your letter is passed on with a stamped address envelope ready to use for the recipient to get back to you.”

It was also revealed that those who want to take part must complete the WWSET’s disclaimer form, and failure to do so will result in the letter not being passed on.
