Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed that defender Giles Phillips has returned to Aldershot Town on a month’s loan.

The 23-year-old, who has yet to play for the Chairboys this season, spent two months at the National League side this campaign between November and January, where he played 10 games for the non-league club.

The deal was confirmed on February 23, with Phillips making his second debut for the Shots on the same day, as he played the whole 90 minutes in their 4-2 away in at Maidenhead.

The American spent the 2019/20 season at Wanderers on loan from QPR, where he played 16 matches for the club, getting sent off on two occasions.

He later joined Gareth Ainsworth’s side on a permanent contract last summer, but has not played any first-team games for Wanderers so far this campaign.

His last game for the club to date was the 4-0 away defeat against Peterborough United on January 21, 2020.

Phillips was red carded in the fixture after just 21 minutes.
