Norwich City manager Daniel Farke believes Wycombe are ‘well-structured', after the Canaries defeated Wanderers 2-0 at Adams Park.

Two second-half goals from Teemu Pukki and substitute Adam Idah gave the visitors all three points, as they continue to storm towards the Championship title, as well as promotion back to the Premier League.

The defeat for Gareth Ainsworth’s men means Wanderers have now lost 19 league games this season from their 32 Championship matches, with Wycombe now eight points away from safety.

However, despite the defeat for the Adams Park side, Farke was very complimentary of how Wycombe tested the league leaders.

“If I am honest, I didn’t expect anything else.

“They have got seven points from their last four games, and they kept two clean sheets with one of them being against Reading, so we knew that they were going to fight for their lives.

“They are spirited, well-structured, and committed and Gareth Ainsworth has done a fantastic job here.

“It was difficult to open them and, in this game, you have to be relentless and sometimes also be patient so you can prepare any situation.

“They tried and they were dangerous with their physical threats from their free-kicks and from their long throws, so we had to be switched on against this side.”
