Wycombe Wanderers’ away fixture at Swansea City on Saturday, April 17 has been moved due to the funeral of HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Chairboys were due to play their match in Wales at 3pm, however, following the passing of Prince Philip on Friday, April 9, the Royal Family confirmed that his funeral will take place on the same day and time as Wycombe’s match against the Swans.

Following the news, the EFL confirmed that they were in talks with several clubs in order to have their matches rescheduled, with Wycombe revealing on Monday, April 12, that their fixture away in Swansea at the Liberty Stadium will kick-off at 12.30pm.

The funeral was confirmed on April 10

They also confirmed that the trip away to Middlesbrough on the final day of the season [May 8], will also kick-off at the same time.

After the news of Prince Philip’s death was announced, clubs across the country paid their respects by holding a two-minute silence before their respected kick-offs last weekend.

The club confirmed the news on April 12

His funeral will take place at Windsor Castle - the same location as his passing.
