Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Chris Forino-Joseph on a one-year-deal.

The 21-year-old defender, who recently represented Brentford, Colchester United, and Wingate & Finchley, has been training with the Chairboys over the past few weeks, and played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Ebbsfleet at Adams Park.

Upon his arrival at the Bucks-based club, manager Gareth Ainsworth said: “Chris has done really well every time we’ve seen him and we’re looking forward to seeing him develop his game over the coming year.

“He and the other lads in the development group only need to look at the progress made by Anis Mehmeti over the past few months to know that this can be a great club for young players to learn the trade, by training alongside some fantastic experienced professionals and some of the best coaches in the league.”

Wanderers’ B Team coach Sam Grace, said: “It’s been brilliant to see our young lads come on leaps and bounds in the first year of this development group, with Anis getting plenty of first-team action, Andre Burley representing his country and he, Malachi Linton and Curtis Anderson getting minutes under their belt on loan at various clubs.

“Chris is a great addition to that group.

"He’s a really commanding defender, strong in the air and with a strong determination to succeed, and that attitude will see him fit right in.”
