The ghosts & the ghouls have long been packed away, & the pumpkins are thrown in the neighbour's bin, but Christmas has certainly come early for Matt Hawes & his Division 4 Wanderers side, as they tasted victory for the first time in 2021, and moved off the bottom of the table in the process with a 3-2 win at Dereham's Lane against Bourne End United.

Goals from Jamie Stringer & Dean Smith put the home side 2-0 up before Bourne End pulled a goal back just before the HT break.

Stringers second of the game was enough to win the game, despite another Bourne End goal.

HWSFC Challenge Cup

Mill Lane Hoops beat Seer Green 2-0, Thame United progressed on spot kicks after a 3-3 draw with Horse & Jockey. Hazlemere Sports beat FC Riverside 6-3. Downley Albion won a 10-6 ‘game of the season’ contender against WCMO, largely in part to a 4 goal haul from Mikey Martins.

Premier Division

REOC hit AFC Liberal for six, running out easy 1-6 winners. Naphill & Salters Ash recorded back-to-back league victories, as they overcame a spirited Three Horseshoes 5-3 at the Crick.

Division One

Denham United cemented their position as Division One Title Favourites with a 7-1 crushing of bottom side FC Lions at Martinsfield. Striker Conor Cumber hit a hat-trick, Messrs Seagrove, Hopkins, Wakefield & Brandon Cumber also notched for the league leaders. Pedro Ribeiro scored Lions consolation with a long range curling effort.

Wycombe Athletic held on to defeat Prestwood United 2-3, Heathers, Brown and Coleman scored for Athletic.

AFC Liberal Reserves edged a 5-4 classic against free-falling Wycombe Marsh, to claim their second victory in 2 outings midfielder Jake Braim hit a brace, Kyran Lacey scored 2 & Andrew ‘Boxer’ Nicol notched for the winners. Marsh are now winless in 4.

Division Two

8/15 Division Two Title Favourites Lane End ran riot & recorded a sensational 12-1 win against sorry FC Hazlemere at home, as nearest challengers Hazlemere Community & Bucks Pumas took a share of the spoils each in a 2-2 draw at Hazlemere Rec.

Ben Vicos notched as FC Beaconsfield Reserves beat KODA 0-3 away. Elliot Pattinson & Curtis Tannis also scored.

Division Three

Second place FC Wycombe kept up the pressure at the top of the table as a James Bennet brace alongside a strike from James Bishop saw them narrowly beat AFC Denham 2-3. Gordon Halligan & Harry O’Reilly notched for the home side.

Ridgeway Royals Reserves cantered to a 8-3 victory over Tetsworth Sundays, with striker Jonny Scarborough hitting 4 in the rout. Adam Jefferies, Dominic Hodgkiss, Joshua King & Scott Hayes also scored.

Third place St Johns Sports Reserves beat Hambleden SSC 5-1. Oliver Lane netted the away sides consolation.

Division 4

Hazlemere Sports Wanderers got back to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Prestwood United Reserves. Sub Joel Dunbar hit a brace, Jonathon Payne and James Wyncoll scored for the division leaders. Maidenhead Rangers are quietly going about their business, & find themselves in second place after a 4-1 crushing of FC Marlow Royals.

FC Beaconsfield Development romped to an 8-2 victory against Holmer Green Rangers, & Bucks Buffalos edged a 7 goal thriller away to United for Dementia, as they ran out 4-3 winners at Magnolia Park.
