A goal scored by Wycombe Wanderers’ Dominic Gape has been nominated for the August League One Goal of the Month award.

The 28-year-old produced a moment of brilliance in the Chairboys’ recent 3-0 win over Barnsley on August 20, where he managed to lob Bradley Collins from more than 40-yards with a first time effort.

The strike put Wanderers 2-0 up in the match, in what was his first goal for the club in nearly four years.

This comes in the week that Wycombe keeper Max Stryjek was named in the recent Midweek Team of the Week.

The Polish shot-stopper made several saves in Wanderers’ recent 1-0 home victory over Accrington Stanley on September 13.

Stryjek has made 14 saves from the 16 shots he has faced since signing for the club.
