Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed that goalkeeping coach Lee Harrison has departed the club to join Colchester United.

This comes a week after former club captain and legend, Matt Bloomfield, departed the Chairboys to take over the Essex-based side as manager.

The club said: "Everyone at Wycombe thanks Lee for his fantastic contributions across two spells at Adams Park, and wishes him every success with Matt at Colchester."

Harrison had two separate spells at Adams Park with the first being as a player/coach between August 2012 and January 2014.

He was registered as a member of the playing squad and was given the number 21 shirt, but he did not make a single appearance for the club.

The former Barnet shot-stopper then departed in 2014 to join Sam Allardyce’s backroom at West Ham United, before he moved to Leyton Orient.

He then returned to Wycombe in January 2021.
