Wycombe Wanderers striker Brandon Hanlan said he was ‘buzzing’ after his goal gave the Chairboys a 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town.

Hanlan, who has missed large parts of the season through injury, bagged the winner five minutes before the break after going on a terrific solo run.

It was his first of the season and his first since February.

Speaking on the win, performance, and result, Hanlan said: “I’m buzzing to be out there again and to score and win.

“That was a long 90 minutes but to win 1-0 against the top of the league is a great achievement.

“I hadn’t scored for so long that I didn’t know how to celebrate - but once you start scoring, it’s natural.

“I went into the right-hand side of the box, I turned and started driving into the box and went past two defenders.

“With the ball at your feet in the box you’ve got more time than you think.

“As I was dribbling, space opened up for me and I managed to shift the defenders with a bit of movement and slotted the ball in at the near post.

“The keeper showed me the near post and I went for it. But as you’re running in, things are happening so fast.
