One of Wycombe Wanderers’ new signings has revealed his aims for the season ahead.
Luke Leahy, who joined from Shrewsbury Town for a fee to be around £100,000, played in front of his new fans for the first time in the club’s 2-1 away victory against Aldershot Town.
The pre-season triumph in Hampshire saw the utility man, who can play as a left-back or a defensive midfielder, put in a good display at a soaking EBB Stadium, where he told the Free Press his specific targets for the upcoming 2023/24 campaign.

He said: “My target is to play every game and stay injury free.
“Stuff like goals, assists and clean sheets are added bonuses, so being fit and helping the team is my main target.”
On the friendly win, which saw D’Mani Mellor and a trialist get on the scoresheet, he added: “The staff have been really clever with how they’ve done their friendlies as with Arsenal, they were a passing side, we had most of the ball against Dagenham and Aldershot was more like an EFL game.

“It was a scrappy game but it’s a win and it’s another game closer to the season.
“It was a bit frantic at times and it took us about 10/15 minutes to get used to it, but as we got the ball, we showed our quality.”
Wycombe’s next friendly is away at Wealdstone on Tuesday, July 25.
