Wycombe Wanderers boss Matt Bloomfield believes facing Cardiff at home will be ‘stern test’ for his side ahead of the new season.

The Chairboys have won all their friendly matches bar one, and recently defeated National League Wealdstone 1-0 on Tuesday night.

He said: “It’ll be a stern test but we have had some really hard games against National League opposition, and we’ve been implementing a few new things over pre-season which will start to come out.

“We’ve done some of it during the games that we have played but we would like to do more of it against higher opposition as well.

“Cardiff will be a tough test and it’ll be a proper game.”

The fixture, which is Joe Jacobson’s testimonial, will see the left-back celebrate his 10th year at Adams Park.
