Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has praised the players who represented their countries over the international break.

Dale Taylor, who is on loan from Nottingham Forest, started his nation’s two fixtures against San Marino and Slovakia respectively, whilst Tjay De Barr and Joe Low faced each other in Gibraltar’s match versus Wales.

This meant it was the first team in Wanderers’ 136-year history that two of their players shared the same pitch on the international stage.

Speaking on the trio, Bloomfield said: “To see three of our younger players play international football is a proud moment for us and our supporters.

“Tjay has been here for a couple of years now and has gone away with Gibraltar and played well for them, but for Joe, to make his first international start for Wales is brilliant.

“And for that to be against Tjay is such a proud moment for the club.

“Even for Dale Taylor as well.

“We all know about the potential and promise Dale has got which is why we went to such lengths to try and get him.

“To see him start twice as a senior international, play the way he did and get the praise he did was just brilliant.

“This is great for Wycombe as we’ve got these young lads who have their careers ahead of them.

“I’m very proud of them.”
