Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has provided a very brief injury update on midfielder Freddie Potts.

The 20-year-old has not featured since the recent 2-1 away win over Bradford City in the FA Cup at the start of the month, where he provided an assist for the Chairboys' second goal which was diverted into his own net by Sam Stubbs.

No confirmed time frame has been given on the West Ham loanee’s recovery, although he was spotted at the home fixture against Stevenage seven days later in a knee brace.

Speaking to the press, Bloomfield said: "He’s not far away but he’s not quite ready.

"Freddie is working really hard and we want him back as soon as possible, but we have got to be responsible in terms of his recovery."

“We need to be respectful to West Ham in how he recovers.

“He’s a very important player for us and we’ll be looking forward to welcoming him back when he’s fit.”
