WYCOMBE cyclist Paul Lasenby broke a 26-year-old club record on Friday when he zipped one and a half miles up the Aston Hill in four minutes, 34.7 seconds.
His time beats the Wycombe Cycling Club record of four minutes, 35.8 seconds set by Richard Clarke in 1982.
Lasenby, a former National Mountain Bike World Champion, tried to break the record a month ago but missed out by two seconds.
Paul Mace and Adam Topham completed the top three in the race.
