MARLOW rower Katherine Grainger led Great Britain's quadruple sculls to victory in their heat this morning to book a place in next Sunday's final.
Grainger is four-time world champion but has never won Olympic gold before, picking up silvers in Athens and Sydney.
They beat rivals Germany in their heat, but their time was two seconds slower than China, who won the other heat.
Grainger said: "Times don't really matter."
