Wycombe Wanderers will travel to Northampton Town in the first round of the League Cup.
The Chairboys, who reached the semi-finals of the competition in 2007, will head to Sixfields just four days after they visit Wrexham on the opening weekend of the 2024/25 league season.
This will mean that the Adams Park side would have travelled over 450 miles for the first two games in the campaign.
The fixture between the two sides is the second time in three seasons that Wanderers would have faced the Cobblers in the same stage of the competition.
The previous encounter in August 2022 ended 2-1 to the Chairboys with D’Mani Mellor and Joe Jacobson scoring for Wycombe.
